Shruti Batra
Shruti is passionate about inclusion and innovation in financial services. Her life experiences consisting of a childhood surrounded by financial services professionals, finance roles at sellside/buyside firms and 4+ years of operating experience at Robinhood nicely converge to the world of venture investing. She is ready to bring her wealth of experiences and talent understanding business fundamentals and the fintech operating playbook to the investing side. We are so excited for the impact that Shruti will have in driving our U.S. investments.
Shruti joined QED in January 2024 as a principal based in New York where she focuses on investments in early stage fintech.
Prior to joining QED, Shruti played an integral role in building the strategic finance function at Robinhood. At Robinhood, she helped scale the brokerage, international, crypto and issuer/shareholder communications (Say Technologies) business segments. She also focused on cost efficiency implementation across the customer service, fraud and financial crimes functions.
Shruti started her career in Investment Banking at Citigroup and thereafter worked at Standard Chartered Private Equity (now Affirma Capital) where she evaluated growth stage investment opportunities across APAC.
Shruti graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and earned her MBA at the Wharton School. Outside of work, Shruti enjoys traveling, pilates and discovering new restaurants in the city.
